Permutation Brown Rug

£995.00

Description

This Permutation Brown rug is an adaptation of an original design by renowned still-life artist and notable Royal Academician, William Scott.

Created in collaboration with the William Scott Estate and beautifully transformed into a hand-knotted rug by Christopher Farr, this Permutation Brown rug captures the unmistakable style and essence of Scott's famous 'Permutation Brown 1977' painting.

This rug is a reimagining of Scott’s Permutation series, paintings that explored familiar domestic objects such as pots, pans and cups - depicting these familiar items in a simplistic way, flatly configured within a spacious setting.

Since 1988, Christopher Farr has been at the forefront of contemporary rug design. Utilising only the finest yarn and dyes and collaborating with the most talented weavers from across the world, the creation of a Christopher Farr piece is a painstaking process that results in rugs that are nothing less than works of art.

With just 150 available and each displaying its unique edition number on the reverse, this limited edition Christopher Farr rug offers a unique opportunity to invest in a stunning collision between art and textiles.
