In continuing Poul Henningsen's legacy, Louis Poulsen brings back the remarkable PH Septima Pendant Light, an intricate seven-shade design dating back to the 1920s.
Designed between 1927 and 1931 as an elaboration of Henningsen's classic three-shade system, the Septima presents alternating clear and frosted sections. Exhibiting a blend of enduring Italian borosilicate glass and brass, a rounded 'cup' is in place to prevent dust from falling into the lamp. Meanwhile, the organic brass effect will patinate with time, making this long-lost icon truly yours.
Forming a lifelong collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 1925, Poul Henningsen is renowned across the globe for his innovative and radical approach to all his creative practices. A pioneer of Danish design, Henningsen also turned his hand to journalism and architecture. The designer's initials can be found beneath the lower glass shade, gracefully engraved.
