Originally designed by Warren Platner in 1966, the iconic Platner Lounge Chair in polished nickel and Hallingdal fabric upholstery has been crafted by Knoll since it was introduced.
Exquisitely crafted by welding hundreds of curved, nickel-plated steel rods to the circular frame, the Platner Lounge Chair is accented with the tactile Hallingdal upholstery.
Designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel, the Hallingdal fabric weaves together two hues to create a multi-dimensional, soft edge to the clean-lined, contemporary design. Effortlessly sculptural, the chair is an icon of modern design that would enhance any space with its clean lines and refined finish.
Having studied at Cornell University with a degree in architecture and collaborated with legends such as Raymond Loewy, Eero Saarinen and I. M. Pei, Warren Platner is renowned across the globe for his iconic collection for Knoll.
