Designed by Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien for Spanish design house nanimarquina, the Rabari 2 Rug is available in two different sizes.
Expertly hand-woven and hand-knotted by skilled artisans in India using traditional Sumak techniques, the contemporary Rabari 2 Rug is woven from 100% New Zealand wool. The rug’s unique finish was inspired by India’s tribal folk embroidery and embodies the spontaneity and freedom of the style.
Founded in 1987 by Nani Marquina, the daughter of pioneering Spanish designer Rafael Marquina, nanimarquina blends contemporary designs with traditional techniques to create unique and eye-catching handcrafted rugs. nanimarquina collaborates with prestigious international designers to design unique rugs and crafts them with particular attention to selecting quality raw materials.
Conscious of its societal and environmental impact, nanimarquina places ethics at the forefront of its production process. Passionate about reusing, reducing and recycling, it aims to preserve natural resources through the use of biodegradable and recycled products. It uses an eco-friendly chemical-free washing method that enriches the environment with nitrogen and uses less water than traditional cleaning methods.
