Description
This Three Squares rug is an original design by British abstract artist, Sandra Blow, which has been beautifully transformed into a hand-knotted rug by Christopher Farr.
The Three Squares rug showcases Sandra Blow’s expressively gestural style through its collage-inspired blue and white fibres. During the 1950s, Blow was one of the pioneering abstract painters who brought a new kind of informality into British art. With a strong focus on creating both a tactile and visually engaging surface, Blow’s work is rooted in abstract forms and an experimental approach towards materials.
Since 1988, Christopher Farr has been at the forefront of contemporary rug design. Utilising only the finest yarn and dyes and collaborating with the most talented weavers from across the world, the creation of a Christopher Farr piece is a painstaking process that results in rugs that are nothing less than works of art.
Hand-tufted in India from hand-spun Anatolian wool and irresistibly fluffy mohair, the Three Squares rug arrives beautifully packaged, displaying its unique edition number on the reverse.
With just 150 available, this limited edition Christopher Farr rug offers the unique opportunity to invest in a stunning collision between art and textiles.
