Konstantin Grcic's Tom & Jerry Stool is the redesign of a classic furniture typology: the workshop stool.
Made of solid beech wood with mechanical parts in coloured polypropylene, the stool is easy to adjust, with a seat supporting screw that allows the seat to span between 70cm and 86cm in height.
Grcic's three-legged design contrasts solid beechwood with plastic to produce a versatile product, suggesting its use in a variety of different settings and situations. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, German designer, Konstantin Grcic worked under Jasper Morrison before establishing his own studio in Munich. He has gone on to receive several prestigious awards for his designs, and his Tom & Jerry Stool is available in either a white or orange variety.
