Description
Designed by Elisa Padrón and Nani Marquina for the eponymous design house nanimarquina, the Tres Stripe Rug in a black colourway is available in two different sizes.
The flat-weave rug has been expertly hand-woven by skilled artisans using a hand-spun fabric composed of a New Zealand wool, felt and cotton blend, materials that have been chosen for their lightweight yet resistant texture.
A contemporary interpretation of a traditional Dhurrie, this rug is created using three individual pieces that have each been dyed to create a unique finish. Handcrafted on traditional horizontal looms, Dhurries are renowned for their incredible colours and intricate, inimitable designs.
Founded in 1987 by Nani Marquina, the daughter of pioneering Spanish designer Rafael Marquina, nanimarquina blends contemporary designs with traditional techniques to create unique and eye-catching handcrafted rugs. nanimarquina collaborates with prestigious international designers to design unique rugs and crafts them with particular attention to selecting quality raw materials.
