Considered one of the great icons of design, Eero Saarinen’s Tulip chair is characterised by the instantly recognisable cup-shaped frame, emphasised by the reduction of support to a single stem.
Designed in 1957 as part of the famous Pedestal collection, that vowed to address the ‘ugly, confusing, unrestful world’ underneath tables and tables, the Tulip chair consists of a sweeping base of die-cast aluminium lacquered in white and is coated with a protective layer.
Crafted from moulded fiberglass, the distinctively shaped seat shell is accented with a red seat pad to add a soft edge to the streamlined design.
Printed with the designer’s signature positioned under the base to certify authenticity, the Tulip Chair is a unique and timeless icon that is sure to steal the spotlight in any living space.
Also available in a swivel based version and armchair model. Click here to discover the rest of the Pedestal collection including coordinating table.
