Created in collaboration with Vitra over a four-year design process, the Vegetal Chair is a statement piece by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, 2008.
Showcasing a strikingly organic structure, the Vegetal Chair borrows contours from nature to create a supportive, distinctive seat, crafted by prestigious manufacturers Vitra in die-cast fibre-reinforced polyamide for suitability both in and outdoors.
Inspired by historical gardens of the 20th century, the Vegetal Chair is a contemporary representation of trees that were pruned and treated to grow into living furniture-like structures. Elevated on stem-style legs, the Vegetal Chair seat id comprised of three levels of branch-like ribs, interwoven for superior support.
Available in basic dark, mauve grey, brick, cream, forest and chocolate hues.
